Kliber VŠB TU Ostrava, Czech Republic Corrosion resistant steels are used for the prod uction of parts exposed to corrosive environment and also to thermo-mechanical loads. Steel molds in the glass manufacture industry with their functional surfaces simultaneously exposed to the combined thermo-mechanical cyclical loads by liquid glass and corrosive effects of aggressive exhausts of preheating burners are fine examples. This paper is focused on the structural properties and stability of the selected steels under these demanding conditions. The experiment simulated heat load conditions. Two experimental corrosion and heat load resistant materials with high hardness were selected: austenitic steel Dominial-ZF2 ESU, 1.2782 and Toolox 33 and 44 martensitic steels (equivalent to W. Nr. 1.2311, 1.2312, 1.2738, and P20).

THE OXIDATION RESISTANCE OF HIGH ALUMINUM HEAT RESISTANT STEELS
Abstract: In this research, the oxidation behaviour of high Aluminum heat resistant steel (%25Cr,%20Ni,%8Al) hasbeen evaluated at the temperature range of (1000-1300ºC).The results showed that there was no countinous healinglayer on the surface of the alloy when Al increased up to %5.5 and the oxidation resistance of steel decreased due toformation of spinel oxides on the surface.By increasing ...
متن کاملEffect of aging temperature on structural evolution of HP-Nb heat resistant steel
In this study, the changes in microstructure of HP-Nb cast heat resistant steel after 8 years of service at high temperatures were investigated. Study of microstructure using optical microscopy (OM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) equipped with an energy dispersive spectrometry (EDS) showed that the microstructure of this steel in as-cast condition includes an austenitic matrix, and that...
متن کاملInvestigating the Effect of the Deep Cryogenic Heat Treatment on the Mechanical Properties and Corrosion Behavior of 1.2080 Tool Steel
Deep cryogenic heat treatment is assumed as a supplementary heat treatment performed on steels before the final tempering treatment to enhance the wear resistance and hardness of the steels. In this study, the effects of the deep cryogenic heat treatment on the wear behavior and corrosion resistance of the 1.2080 tool steel were studied using the wear testing machine and polarization and impeda...
متن کاملThe Effect to Epsilon Phase on the Friction and Wear of Nitrided Die Steels (RESEARCH NOTE)
In this paper, the wear resistance and antifriction of epsilon phase layer and diffusion layer of gas nitrided D2 steel and M2 steel have been studied. The changes m wear mechanism of epsilon phase under the load from 20N to 200N are analysed. When the load is lighter than 100N, it is mainly oxidizing wear on friction surface. The adhesion, peeling off and abrasive wear appear on friction surfa...

The effect of ferrite grain size on the fatigue and tensile properties of dual phase steels with a 0.25 volume fraction of martensite (Vm) under different heat treatments was investigated. The heat treatments were homogenized at 1200 oC along with several subsequent normalizations at 910 oC, resulting in different microstructures and mechanical properties. After heat treatment, the obtained ste...
